Age Suitability

This page describes the age suitability of the Jambo Ride and Jambo Ride - Driver apps published by Jambo Ride Tanzania.

App Store age rating

Based on Apple's App Store age rating questionnaire, both apps have a global rating of 4+ (Ages 4 and up) in most countries and regions. Users only see the rating that applies to their country or region.

Regional variations may apply (for example, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, and Vietnam) according to local App Store rules. The rating shown on the App Store for a given country or region is authoritative.

What the 4+ rating means

A 4+ rating indicates that the apps do not contain objectionable content such as:

• Realistic or cartoon violence;
• Sexual or mature themes;
• Profanity or crude humour;
• Gambling or simulated gambling;
• Alcohol, tobacco, or drug references as a focus of the experience.

The apps are utility / transportation tools: booking rides, tracking trips, messaging related to a trip or support, payments, and driver earnings tools. Content is informational and functional rather than entertainment with mature themes.

Account eligibility (18+)

The App Store age rating describes content suitability. It is separate from who may create and use a Jambo Ride account.

Per our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, you must be at least 18 years old to register for and use the passenger or driver apps. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Drivers must also complete identity and vehicle verification and comply with applicable Tanzanian transport regulations.

Safety features

The apps may include safety-related features such as live trip tracking, in-trip communication, emergency / SOS tools, and identity verification for drivers. These features are intended to support safer travel and do not change the content age rating.
